Total QX framework

The Total QX framework

What Total QX is, why it works, and who it's for.

Most businesses are run in pieces. Sales has its targets, operations its processes, finance its numbers. Your customer, your team, and you don’t experience the pieces. You experience the one business: the promise kept or broken, the handover that’s clean or clumsy.

Total QX (Total Quality Experience) is a whole-system business optimisation framework. It improves the entire connected system of a business, not its isolated parts, and it runs on one standard: every improvement has to be good for the customer, good for the staff, and good for the business at once.

What is Total QX?

A whole-system approach to business quality. Instead of optimising departments one at a time, Total QX works on the connections between them, where most of the waste, frustration, and lost value actually lives. It’s a framework, not a customer-service campaign or a culture programme.

What makes it different?

One idea: Harmonised Centricity. Most “customer-centric” programmes improve one party’s experience and quietly bill another. Total QX refuses that trade. Its operative rule, the Non-Displacement Principle, is blunt: an experience isn’t optimised if its cost, risk, or dysfunction has simply been moved to another part of the system. Delight the customer while exhausting the staff and it won’t hold. Protect the margin by thinning the product and you’ve booked borrowed performance, and the bill always arrives.

Who is it for?

Owners, founders, and leaders who carry the consequences of the whole system, and who have run out of patience for programmes that soothe one symptom and move the cost somewhere less visible. It’s counsel, not cheerleading.

How is Total QX structured?

Seven layers, from the anchor up. Each has its own page; this is the map.

  • Cornerstone: Harmonised Centricity. Good for the customer, the staff, and the business, held together.
  • Four Design Principles. Experience-Centric Design, Dynamic Scalability, Integrated Innovation, and Continuous Evolution: the qualities the system is built to have.
  • Three Tenets. Gratitude, Meditation, and Non-Verbal Communication: how the operator shows up.
  • Three Pillars. Strategic Foundations, Tactical Mastery, and Operational Dynamics: what carries the operating weight.
  • Twelve Principles. The operating rules for each decision, from Customer-and-Staff-Centricity to Profit with Purpose.
  • The 6Ps. The worldview beneath it all: passion, pleasure, and purpose, married to people, planet, and profit.
  • The tools. Touchpoint Experience Design, Value Impact Goals, the Engagement Experience Quotient (XQ), and more: the instruments that put it to work.

Common questions

Is Total QX a customer-experience programme? No. Customer experience is one of three parties it serves. Total QX treats the customer, the staff, and the business as one connected system, and it won’t improve one by quietly charging another.

How is it different from traditional quality or CX methods? Those optimise parts: a process, a department, a single touchpoint. Total QX optimises the whole, and rejects any gain that simply displaces cost, risk, or dysfunction onto another part of the system.
